Nigeria’s Super Eagles will face Croatian in their first match in the Russia 2018 World Cup.

Croatia 2 – 0 Nigeria

To qualify for the tournament, Nigeria saw off African champions, Cameroon, Algeria and Zambia in what seemed to be the strongest group of the qualifying series.

The Croats, on their own, encountered Iceland, Ukraine and Turkey and came out second behind Iceland who will be making their World Cup debut. Iceland and the Croats still find themselves in the same group.

The Croatian have won 3 of their last 6 games, lost 2 and drew 1 against Greece, Brazil, Mexico, Peru and Ukraine.

Nigeria in the other hand had won 2, drew 2 and lost 2 of their last 6 matches, with the most recent being a 2-1 loss to England and the 1-0 defeat to Czech Republic in Austria.

Croatia vs Nigeria.

8:00pm, Saturday, 16th June.

Kaliningrad Stadium.
