The leadership of the National Assembly has revealed that lawmakers are on the same page with President Muhammadu Buhari on measures to tackle security challenges in the country, source told The Nation.
Recall that Buhari was in a closed-door meeting with the Senate President, Bukola Saraki, Speaker of the House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara and other leaders of the National Assembly on Thursday night.
According to the source, “The President raised security concerns and what he has been doing. We agreed with him that he has been trying and we are prepared to support him.
“Although we expressed worries over many killings across the country, we are in tandem with Mr. President on the approach to it.
“So, we are on the same page with the President on how to tackle the security challenges.
“We will make our legislative contributions and interventions.
“It is Not Yet Uhuru, but we have pledged to support Mr. President to address the challenges.”
