History was literally made when popular Tv host, Love Idoko was joined by the vice president, Prof Yemi Osinbajo and a host of other dignitaries to present a compendium of the first 100 episodes of her popular TV show, Activating Success with Love Idoko in Abuja on Friday.
Activating Success with Love Idoko is a TV programme hinged on inspiring people, especially the younger generation to rise above average living and be the best they could be in the land.
At the unveiling of the book, the VP, who was the Special Guest of Honour, praised Love Idoko for being an encouraging voice among Nigerian youth. According to him, “the caliber of persons who graced the event was a reflection of the saying that what you sow you reap. If you sow encouragement and help others to succeed, you reap from it.”
Osinbajo noted that everyone had a talent but what was not easy to find was the ability to do the same thing over and over no matter how difficult or boring. He urged the youth to remain steadfast in their noble endeavours as success would be theirs in the end.
He said it was difficult to do 100 episodes of anything and hailed the determination of the author to achieve the feat with integrity.
Osinbajo spoke about Nigeria and its abounding talents. “I am impressed about Nigeria and I think that what there is about this great nation is just an endless flow of talents, endless flow of creativity and endless flow of energy.”
While commending the diligence of the motivational speaker, Osinbajo hinted that one would see so much talent and creativity among Nigerians.
“I am extremely proud of our country and I very strongly believe that our country is certainly going to be a great nation. It is not going to depend on many of us but on a lot of very young people who are multi-tasking, creative and able to stick to it for a long time,” he said.
The TV show made its debut on the 5th of June, 2015 on AIT and has gone on to record over 100 episodes. That is a commendable feat but what many have described as more commendable is the feat of becoming the first TV show to document its first 100 episodes in a book.
The book, aptly titled, ‘Activating Success: a compendium of the first 100 episodes’ is the first of its kind as no TV programme has ever achieved the feat.
