English Premier League giant, Chelsea is in search for a forward to replace AWOL Diego Costa and the club manager, Conte, is reportedly set to make a move for Leicester City striker, Jamie Vardy.
Conte is desperately trying to bolster his strike-force before the end of the transfer window.
Although big-money buy, Alvaro Morata is already off the mark, the Blues still need to replace away Diego Costa and Mirror reports that the person is Vardy.
The Blues gaffer wants another frontman to make up for the absence of Costa and Vardy fits the profile for the type of forward Chelsea is looking for.
The Premier League champion believes they can get him for a lower fee than someone younger in his position due to his age.
Vardy made an explosive start to the new campaign as he netted twice in the Foxes opening day loss to Arsenal.
Whether they can persuade the 2016 title winners to allow their talisman to leave remains to be seen.
However, the striker rejected the chance to join Arsene Wenger’s outfit and penned a new deal at the King Power Stadium.
Meanwhile, Vardy is not the only Leicester star Chelsea are interested in.
They are hoping to complete a deal for midfielder, Danny Drinkwater, within the next week.
