The Nigeria Hockey Federation (NHF) on Thursday opened the second phase of its camping for players ahead of the Aug. 17 to Aug. 28 Africa Nation’s Cup in South Africa.
The federation’s Secretary-General, Rita Akande, made the disclosure to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Abuja.
She said that 64 players, including 32 males and 32 females had been invited for the two-week camping which began on June 2.
Akande said that the camping was to build on the players skills and place them on their positions.
The scribe said that the Nation’s Cup would reposition the team for other international competitions.
The first phase of camping held in March with 60 players, comprising 30 males and 30 females.
The federation had proposed to hold three phases of camping depending on availability of funds.
